Requiem to Love

Here’s a little song I wrote while trying to learn the piano. This song isn’t about depression as you’d probably assume. I just felt a couple of notes and chords and this was what they told me. Probably recording this out in a day or two and sending it out to better vocalists. :P

#1

And she maybe, walking by the daisies, counting all the petals she cried out there/

And a little hope - hoping like never before - making sure that open doors don’t bring in bad things/

And a blooming rose - lost at sea or washed ashore - will remain as beautiful, when you come home/

And in an ocean of pain, crashing down like waves; she closed her eyes and floated off to sleep,

Thinking life will take me where I need to be.

Chorus

Searching love,

Searching feeling for once,

Make believe in magic and sure, you’ll find yourself with moments of truth -

A beacon of light; to love.

#2

Starting like a little joke - Jealousy a poison to the soul. And it coursed right through her blood and broke her down/

But the times they shared, glowing pools in oceans there - flooded out her eyes like tears on golden blocks of stone/

And in a year or two, if he calls on you, will you run right back into his arms of gold?

Or hope that life will give you strength to hold, on.

Chorus

Searching love,

Searching meaning for once,

Make believe in magic and sure, you’ll find yourself with moments of truth -

A beacon of light; to love.

#3

As the time goes by, people come to say goodbye; melancholic eyes she spent looking up to the skies/

And the time has passed, her soul remains intact - unscratched. Bulletproof in strength but holding nothingness inside./

Chorus

Cursing love,

Cursing feeling for once,

Make believe in magic and sure, you’ll find yourself trying to breath;

Trying to believe in love.
